Popcorn Portrait

Yet another entry for *raygirl's Competition... I just can't get enough of her characters!! This is her character Popcorn Imp who I think has got to be, visually, one of my favorite of Raygirl's character designs. :] I couldn't resist having a go at drawin' him in my own style (although i know he's probably a bit too human looking to be considered an accurate rendition of the character)....

The idea behind this piece is Akkia and Spyne acting as Popcorn's conscience... he appeared to me to be a character with a great interest in mischief, so it makes sense that both sides of his consciousness should BOTH be mischievous!! lol This is almost a snapshot taken while Popcorn has been playing with Akkia, on the moment that he hears something far more interesting and appealing whispered into his ear by the troublesome Spyne...

I suck at portraits I know, but at least I tried. And if anyone has any suggestions for inking with a brush pen, or just inking full stop, I'd really appreciate hearing it!!
