My Bro - My Hero

"Who ya gonna call?"

This is my Bro, Peter. He is 31 years old (so he's my senior by 1 year) he has Down's syndrome and he's the most awesome, loving, caring and inspiring person I know. There were times when I thought myself very unlucky when I was younger to have Pete as a brother as he was pretty hard work to grow up with, but now I wouldn't change him for the world. He's my hero.

We had a LOT of hours to kill on the way over to France just before Christmas as we'd missed the ferry due my being held-up on the train due to flooding. We had to wait something like 7 hours for the night-boat to roll around, and so we needed to kill some time. Pete very obligingly sat for me while I did a 2 hr portrait of him on my iPad (in 2x1hr sessions w/a short break for him in the middle) .. he's always been my most patient and willing sitter and it was great to have a chance to do a proper, colour painting for once, instead of another quick line-drawing.

Also, Pete loves ghostbusters.
